One of the big things that the Anime Society is marketing is how we can connect with others, build friendships, and branch out. But one of the biggest issues we have been facing is attendance, making one of the founding pillars of the Society start to crumble.
Last year, because our meetings were after school, people couldn't come because of sports and extracurricular activities. Now that our meetings are during lunch, everyone has things to do, or they don't feel up to it, some have even complained that they don't like sharing the room with whoever happens to come. Over all, hardly anyone really physically comes to the meetings, most of our work is done on an online platform.
It's difficult for people to connect when they aren't even able to interact with each other, so I have been brainstorming on ways to fix this. Google Hangouts doesn't work, other places are kinda sketchy, and lets not even talk about going through Tumblr. But fear not, because I've found a solution! After much searching, I was able to find the best thing for us. And now, we officially have an online platform for everyone to join and chat with each other.
chat-room set up for everyone interested in conversing about Anime Society. As of now, there is no password, and if that changes I will be sure to notify everyone. It also doesn't require an email or extensive sign up, you just put in a temporary username, and if you want a permanent account you just have to make a password, easy as pie. It's open to anyone who wishes to join, whether you're a local member or one of our friends from another state. Anywho, looking forward to chatting with everyone soon!
